Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)


Miss Emma Jackson is the SENCO for Adel St John the Baptist. As the deputy, she is part of the Leadership team and is also the Year 5 class teacher. Miss Jackson undertakes the majority of her SENCO work on a Thursday when she can be contacted out of class. Her work involves working alongside school staff, outside agencies and liaising with parents to ensure the appropriate provision for our SEND pupils.

SENDIASS Drop In SEND Advice sessions

Leeds SENDIASS are delivering a series of new Drop In SEND Advice sessions for parents and carers and young people at venues across the city this summer. SENDIASS staff will be providing impartial Information, Advice and Support to parents and carers attending. They will be supporting enquiries on SEND advice in schools, EHCP, Specialist Provisions and other SEND questions on the day. Sessions are based in Children’s centres initially and across each area of the city, with more dates and times to follow for future terms. Refreshments available on the day.
