Welcome to our school website and the Governors page.

Adel St John the Baptist Church of England Primary School is a Voluntary-Aided one form entry Primary School. As such there are several Foundation Governors appointed by the Diocese alongside Parent Governors, a Local Authority Governor, in addition to teaching and non-teaching staff members. A total currently of thirteen.

As a Governing Body we are responsible for staffing and appointments, resources, teaching and learning and pupil support and we are certain that you will find Adel St John's to be a warm, welcoming and inclusive school. We would encourage parents and carers to come into school and speak with staff and Governors about any questions they may have. 

Our priority as a school community is the safety and wellbeing of your children, to help them achieve the best they can. When they leave us to go onto High School they are the as prepared and confident as they can be to face future challenges.

All our relevant sub-committees and full Governing Body meetings are held at regular intervals throughout the academic year. Minutes of those meetings become public documents once they have been agreed and signed-off.

Through the schools Friday Newsletter, Literacy and Class Newsletters we seek to keep families informed as much as possible about the school community and forthcoming events.
