Dear parent/carer,
Battery operated handwarmers should not be brought into school due to potential electrical and fire risks associated with portable battery devices and as a result of a communication from the Leeds City Council health and Safety Team, which came as a result of a child from another school ingesting a button battery and needing medical attention.
