Welcome to Spring Term in Year 3!
Miss Jackson will be teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Miss Christie will be teaching on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; Mrs McDonald and Mrs Pullan will be our teaching assistants.

Democracy!

Coincidentally with it being Polling Day yesterday, Year 3 were learning about Ancient Greek democracy in Athens, which was the beginnings of the voting system we still use today! Of course, women were not seen as important enough to have had the vote in those days, which was most disappointing to the girls, though from their suffragette learning in Year 2, they were able to see how democracy has come on since Ancient Greek times!
A reminder - please ensure all green reading records are in school on Thursdays with at least one comment for the week about how the reading is going and whether the book is finished or to be continued. Thank you.
