Welcome to Autumn Term in Year 2! Please find on this page all the information you might need this year. There is a long term plan as well as Autumn's knowledge organisers below, which will be updated termly. Should you need anything further, please get in touch!

Mrs Moleele will be teaching on a Monday and Tuesday and Miss Christie will teach on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Miss Smith will support the children throughout the week with Mrs McDonald and Miss Battye sharing the week between them.

Murton Park Visit and Timestables songs!

On Monday, Year 4 visited Murton Park to immerse themselves in the history of the Romans. We have started learning about the Romans in Britain and the day gave us an insight into what it might have been like for Roman soldiers living in a fort near York. They took part in lots of learning including writing in Latin, making clay lamps, spear and sword training and creating the iconic tortoise defence with shields. We returned to school full of excitement for the rest of our learning in history this half term.



Each week we will be focusing on a different multiplication table as our first morning activity. Next week is the 6x table and to start this off, we joined in with MC Grammar on singing and rapping the 6x table. There are some great songs by MC Grammar to help with lots of different areas of the curriculum. Link to the 6x table song below:
