Our Imaginative Learning Project this half term is called ‘Toy Story’. We will be sharing our favourite toys, and looking at different toys children played with in the past. As a class, we will create our own ‘toy museum’, look at the different materials toys are made from and consider why they were chosen. We will have a go at writing our own ‘toy stories’, creating our own characters-including aliens!
Year one have discovered a crashed spaceship! We investigated samples from the crash site and created missing alien posters.
Year 1 had a wonderful day at Abbey House Museum. We especially enjoyed investigating old and new toys: looking at the materials they were made from and finding out how to play with them!
Our Imaginative Learning Project this half term is called ‘Bright Lights, Big City’. Hop on board a big, red bus as we head for England’s capital- we are on our way to London! Perhaps we will visit Buckingham Palace and take tea with the Queen! Using maps, we will locate famous landmarks and plan routes around the city. We will travel back in time to the Great Fire of London and talk about what it’s like to live in a big city.
Year 1 had a great time when Aria's mum came in and did some marbling with us! We created some fantastic patterns which we used to make our Christmas cards.
