Thought for this week

Different Colours – Different Creeds - We All Fly High Together!

Message from Mrs Turner:

I am delighted to announce that Francis Mugisha has been appointed as our Resident Superintendent, Francis will continue in his role as relief superintendent until the 1st of September when he will officially take up his duties. Judging by the cheers whoops and clapping from our children this is very obviously a popular appointment.

Thank you to the parents who walked with us to Church yesterday to celebrate the birth of John the Baptist; Reverend White led the service with several stories from The Bible and the children, as ever, were beautifully behaved. They listened well and enjoyed their time at church. Thank you to Reverend White for leading the service. We came back to school to a bun sale – see information below – and then in the afternoon all children made and flew kites on our field. The motto on the kites was ‘Different Colours – Different Creeds – We All Fly High Together.’ Everyone had a fantastic time and Mrs Hainsworth captured a number of photographs which may well be in the year book. I understand a number of children continued to have fun with their kites after school on Bedquilts.

We have been working very hard on the Stephen Lawrence story this week. The children continue to impress us with their in depth understanding of such issues and their caring compassionate natures. The motto on the kites related to our work.

I want to congratulate year 6 on their fantastic attitude at their football tournament. More and more we receive messages from people who want to congratulate us on the enthusiasm and attitude of our children. And rightly so.

Please remember that Monday June 28th is a training day.

Where are we?
